If your club or organization is within a reasonable distance of Sarasota, Florida I may be able to schedule a visit for a book signing and Appalachian Trail presentation. The video presentation is a series of photographs that I narrate chronicling my hike of the trail from Springer Mountain in Georgia to Mount Katahdin in Maine. The presentation can be tailored to fit your scheduling requirements. Please contact me at for more details.
At some future date I may be scheduling a book tour of the East Coast of the U.S. Please contact me about that tour as well and I will add your event to a list of possible visits.
The book was a welcome surprise! Being a couch potato in good standing, I expected (but kept it quiet to pick it up, read a chapter, then put it down and forget to read the rest. Not so! I kept picking it up and kept reading. It has a wonderful flow to it and I thoroughly enjoyed reading about a part of life I'm a complete stranger to.

Congratulations Dennis on the publication of your book. As I said before, it is "no walk in the woods."
Good luck on your sales and typos. Now I'm ashamed that I didn't catch more. My bad. Grace

I just finished the book. It was great. I am sad that my part in your adventure was over so quickly. I should have read slower. While I can not say I felt that I was with you, I can honestly say that it provided me with an emotional roller coaster, laughing hysterically and crying on the same page. Thank you for allowing me a glimpse into your private thoughts.
